Vikings (17-8) capture 7th at International event
  

     ORLANDO, FLA.- Ten different players scored on Wednesday, as Homewood Area Small Fry held on for a 51-42 victory over Caguas Libac, Puerto Rico in the seventh-place game of the 46th annual International Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort.
    Homewood 51, Caguas Libac 42- Jarred Correll led a balanced attack with 10 points, five rebounds and five steals to pace Homewood to seventh place. Josiah Palmer chipped in nine points, Joel Watts scored eight points, and Gabe Renchen and Jalen Harrison each added six points for the Vikings, who finished the campaign at 17-8. Homewood gained a 30-20 rebounding advantage, as Bakori Jones grabbed six boards and Elijah Jones five.
    Ponce Lomas 48, Homewood 29- The Vikings couldn't recover from 30 turnovers and a 13-3 Lomas run to start the third period. Elijah Jones led the Homewood effort with nine points and six rebounds, while Jalen Harrison chipped in seven points and two steals, and Brandon Brewer added three assists.
    Ponce Constancia 47, Homewood 38-
Despite holding a onetime 13-point lead, the Vikings were unable to vault into the Final Four. Joel Watts clicked for 11 points and Jarred Correll nine for Homewood, which missed 15 free throws. Correll added seven rebounds, and along with Watts, also had three assists.
    Homewood 25, Highwood 22-
The Vikings limited the Heat to three second-half points to rebound from a seven-point deficit, as Joel Watts (three assists) and Elijah Jones (nine rebounds) topped the scoring with six points each. Jalen Harrison had a late layoup and Jones a late free throw to seal Homewood's spot in the quarterfinals.
    Robert Taylor 45, Homewood 38-
The Vikings led at the half and after three quarters, but saw the Panthers score the game's final seven points. Jarred Correll hit three threes to lead Homewood with 10 points and three steals, while Brandon Brewer added eight points and three steals. Elijah Jones grabbed five rebounds, but the Vikings were beaten on the boards, 35-13. Jalen Harrison chipped in seven points for Homewood.

    The Homewood Rookies concluded their season at 19-3 on April 5 with victories over Richton Park (44-27) and Kenosha (45-41).
