Vikings (26-4) capture International 5th place,
set all-time mark for single-season victories
  

   ORLANDO, FLA.- Homewood Area Small Fry Basketball defeated Bayamon ABB of Puerto Rico on April 8 to capture fifth place in the 47th International Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort. With the victory, the Vikings (26-4) set the all-time Homewood mark for season wins.
    Homewood 56, Bayamon ABB 47- Isaiah Coupet poured in 21 points to go with three steals and three assists in leading the Vikings to fifth place. Josiah Palmer added 10 points for Homewood, while Tai Walters and Brandon Brewer (five rebounds) both finished with five points. Antwaan Bryant also ripped down four rebounds and had two steals.
    Homewood 44, Chicago Heights 19- Ten different players scored and the Vikings gained a scoring advantage in all four quarters in topping their crosstown rivals. Brandon Brewer led a balanced assault with 10 points and nine rebounds, Josiah Palmer chipped in nine points and Cameron Cole finished with five markers. Antwaan Bryant also pulled down four rebounds and took a charge.
   Ponce Constancia 55, Homewood 39- The Vikings fell behind 22-7 after the opening quarter and never recovered in their bid to return to the Final Four. Homewood was topped by Brandon Brewer with nine points and six rebounds, while Josiah Palmer had seven points and Isaiah Coupet finished with six points and four assists..
   Homewood 47, Chi-Town NBN 43- Despite blowing a 15-point command, the Vikings survived behind 15 points, five assists and a record-tying eight steals from Brandon Brewer. Josiah Palmer added nine points and three steals, Isaiah Coupet notched nine points and James Edgecombe pulled down five rebounds. Homewood, which went on a 13-2 scoring run to open the second half, survived despite missing 15 free throws

   Homewood 47, Bayamon Vaqueras 31- Dillon Harris and Isaiah Coupet each scored 10 points in a balanced attack, as the Vikings pulled away with a 17-7 margin in the third stanza. Cameron Cole added eight points and six rebounds for Homewood, while William Pauling finished with three assists and two steals.
    Robert Taylor Panthers 44, Homewood 41- A furious comeback fell short for Homewood, which had a onetime nine-point lead. Coupet had 10 points, three steals and three assists, and Brandon Brewer 10 points and three steals to pace the Vikings. Josiah Palmer chipped in seven points for Homewood, while James Edgecombe finished with six points and four rebounds.
